The Busch Industries Space Frame System
offers creative flexibility in the structure design including
flat roof, sloped designs, arched or domed structures with spans
up to 500 feet. Space Frame Systems consist of two key components:
solid forged steel spherical nodes that receive connecting tubular
members with tapered ends, which comprise the space frame chords
and diagonals. The chords and diagonals connect to the nodes
with a unique concealed fastener system that couples the members
to the node. All of the Space Frame Systems are custom engineered
to meet the designer’s performance specifications for
either roof or wall configurations, design loads, module sizes,
or other criteria. The components can be hot dipped galvanized
prior to the shopapplication of a polyester powder coat finish
in a choice of standard colors
selected by the designer. If required, the Space Frame System
can also be offered in aluminum, stainless steel or with chrome
plating.
We
can achieve a wide variety of geometries by taking advantage
of the space frame’s jointed nature. The space frame shown
here is a prime example of the flexibility of our systems.
